I still don't have much on my walls. It's hard to decide what to put up and where when you don't have the furniture figured out. It's also hard when your leasing company threatens to keep your entire security deposit if you hang things up. Good thing I have a (soon to be - whatever, details) lawyer named Elliott on retainer. He has plenty of time to come up with a scary letter about normal wear and tear. DC has hardened me.
Anyway, back to the point. I just got this print back from the frame shop that will definitely be going on the wall. Or just resting on my table.

Have you heard of Hatch Show Print? You might recognize their style from concert posters, or even the June Anthropologie catalog. They are one of the oldest print shops in America, and they're from Nashville.
I saw this print after a show this summer at the Bluebird Cafe and fell in love. Nashville double whammy! If you ever visit, the Bluebird is something you can't miss. It is an intimate listening room where countless performers and singer song-writers have gotten their start. You don't have to be a country music fan to enjoy it. I've never been and not been blown away. (And I have high standards for these things.)
Sweet poster! We need to go back to the Bluebird in December.
ReplyDeleteI like that Elliot is on retainer to write scary letters. Interesting to learn about hatch show print, never heard of it, but recognize the style. Looks like they have a traveling exhibit via the smithsonian.
